How to flash a ZTW Spider 30A OPTO ESC with the latest SimonK firmware by using an AFRO USB programmer
Parts needed:
Afro ESc USb Programming Tool
Procedure:
- Connect ESC to the AFRO ESC Usb programming tool (the – and the signal pin)
- Connect the battery to the ESC
- Open RapidFlash app
- Choose the COM where Afro USB tool is connected to
- Choose Afro ESC USB linker
- Choose Latest (master)
- Choose bs_nfet as your firmware
- Press Flash Firmware (click in the reverse box if you want the motor the run into the opposite direction)
Will these steps work on all versions of the ZTW esc’s? I did this exact thing to a set of 40a esc’s and haven’t tested them- am I safe in doing this to the 40a too?
I really don’t know, I have only tested it on 30A esc’s. Did you test them? Was the update successful?
I have yet to test them……..O’ll post the results when I test- thank you for the reply.
